Flexi Discs

The Flexipop magazine ran from 1980 to 1983 and had a free Flexi Disc with each publication. Sadly they never released a Flexi by The Damned. For fans, the wonderful Sugar & Spite fanzine provided us with a number of Flexi Discs and were usually purchased outside gigs. However, during the 1980's Eastern Bloc countries; eager for Western music came up with a clever idea of smuggling in random songs on 5" square Flexi Discs. These would be smuggled in rolled up in newspapers or taped around someone's arm. X-Ray machines were also used to produce discs.  Below is an inexhaustive list of Russian, Polish and Fan produced Flexis.

This Promo Disc was released on 24th Feb 1978  in Australia only in the Rock Australia Magazine No 78. It included 4 tracks from Stiff artists.
